Nuclear & Radiological Engineering
The University of Cincinnati Department of Mechanical, Industrial and
Nuclear Engineering invites applications for a tenure-track faculty
position at the Assistant or Associate Professor level in the Nuclear &
Radiological Engineering Program. The position will be filled as soon
as possible.
The Department seeks candidates with research and teaching interests that
include at least one of the following areas:
1. Radiological Assessment (including radiation interactions and transport
in various environmental and biological media).
2. Radiation Sensor Development (including design, development, and
evaluation of innovative radiation detectors and remote sensing systems).
3. Advanced Reactor Design (including neutronics, thermal sciences, stress
analysis, fracture mechanics, and analysis of reactor system signals).

Resources available in the Nuclear and Engineering Program include four
full-time faculty, six adjunct faculty who contribute in their Radiological
particular areas of expertise and 20 M. S. and Ph. D. students who assisted
in the conduct of over $750,000 of sponsored research projects during FY
