SIMULATE-E
Yields the distribution of fission power within the core in three-dimensional
detail while including the significant effects of thermal-hydraulics, control
systems and fuel depletion on the macroscopic cross sections.
Usage: simuate input
Location: /usr/codes/simulate
The SIMULATE computer program calculates the reactor power distribution and
k-effective in three-dimensional geometry while accounting for the significant
effects of power, moderator density, control, and exposure on the cross
sections. The neutron balance equation is applied in an iterative process
where the cross sections are first calculated on the basis of approximate
power and moderator density distributions and are then recalculated frequently
while the power distribution is converging. Substantial numbers of optional
calculations are available during input generation, during the coupled
nuclear-hydraulic iterations and in a post-processor section.
