yttrium 90 gamma decay measurement

Would a germanium detector or another kind of detector, used to examine food, detect the gamma that results from yttrium 90 decay (through Bremsstrahlung?)? (energy level 2.2 or so Mev) Even if it is "rarely" radiated.
