US Made Teriyaki Sauce

This may seem trivial, but I wonder if anyone knows of a Teriyaki Sauce made entirely of US grown ingredients?

Donald Takayama makes a sauce in Oceanside CA

Famous surfer/shaper from Hawaii. It is pretty good but I prefer to make my own if feasible. I don't know how far from Oceanside you can buy it. Don't have a label to read if it is all US ingredients.

Calling the various companies is a lesson in patience. Not all Kikkoman soy sauces are US made. Their organic Soy is brewed in Japan. Also there is the question of Mirin, traditionally made in Japan, which is added to many Teriyaki sauces.

So...the soy sauce in all of these would be from US grown soy? It's possible, as Illinois is a huge soy producer, but some Kikkoman soy sauces are from Japan, and some from the US. They will label country of origin for soy sauces, for example, but I don't know if they go into such detail for Teriyaki.

Teriyaki Blues

Kikkoman looks like the best bet as they apparently having been using American soy in their local manufacturing for years. I'll call them this week and ask about the Mirin used, as that conceivably could come from Japan.

Sometimes it's the little things in life...like Teriyaki.
