Tepco adds 60 Ton cover to #4

Does this make sense to add so much weight to the severely damaged and weak structure reactor number 4?

Common sense tells me something is wrong with this idea.

It makes perfect sense if you take the time to read your link (see photo)!you would notice they are removing the structure damage adjacent above the spent pool ,hence the need to prevent more rubble falling in pool .tepco must first clear an area to work. I also suspect this cover would keep some radiation and evaporation contained making work more manageable ...tdm
