The notion of meteoric (or cometary) ice has long fascinated me, along with the scant mention ever made on "science" channels about it. Such ice would add to the volume of water on Earth, but would also add cold to it. Would it raise the sea level, or disturb weather/climate and initiate an ice age?

These meteors are 'trucking in' at about 20,000 MPH. The kinetic energy is converted to heat. The temperature of the Rock/Ice/Metal/Radioisotope of the meteor is generally cold. The heat from the kinetic energy heat will be the predominant figure. The meteor temperature would not be significant.
The pertubation of earth temperature is probably trivial, unless there is an asteroid mass, or some record setting mass from smaller meteors, involved. And the effect would be a temperature RISE.
Water is added to the earth, as is the rock mass. A really BIG meteoric ICE storm could theoretically contribute a significant amount of water, in a short period of time. A temporary weather change, could happen. Climate change would probably be unlikely.
Some VALID science could be gleaned from further dispassionate, SCIENTIFIC study of meteoric ice.

How much ice would that be? Enough to increase snowfall to where it reflects more sunlight, thus creating a cooling feedback loop on Earth? My prediction is that it would do so, and thus be welcomed by future denizens as their salvation - well, the science-minded ones, at least!

... those are what interest me. Not a frequent visitor to Earth, but we observed NINE fragments of Comet Shoemaker-Levy hitting Jupiter in our lifetime. If Jupiter's gravity can break such a comet apart in space, what kind of impact would it have made after passing through Jupiter's atmosphere? Would a thermal gradient develop within the comet, creating a solid shell of ice with a snowflaky center? Would one cause an ice age if it hit Earth? Why is there such reluctance to discuss this?

My introduction to the nuclear world occurred at SAC. Those guys were 'Straight Arrows', to the man. No punches were pulled. The facts were, what they were including ARS, cancer and all the other hazards of war and peace. The 'IFS' were tightly connected to the 'THENS' and 'ELSES' and 'OR ELSES'. Risk was an open topic. There were some incidents.
Nuclear medicine has been generally beneficial, with a few EARLY 'bad acts'. Industrial and consumer uses have been mixed, but tightly monitored and generally beneficial.
The NPP group has always been, well, 'ishy'. There is 'something not quite right' about those guys. All the facts and events of Fukushima have served to further lower my estimation of the NPP group. The flaws of the NPP group are ever more glaring with elapsed time. And so the time has come to 'pull the plug' on the NPP Team and their unnecessarily 'dangerous toys'.
It appears that the NPP group has been instrumental in the degradation of scientific endeavor, particularly in the field of 'climate science'. Perhaps the ongoing NPP industry collapse will give way to a general increase in scientific integrity and accuracy.
Luckily, due to the recent improvements in natural gas availability, and pricing; the NPP group is ... unnecessary. Lucky for us!

A Nobel Prize was awarded for a Hubble Telescope atmospheric observation. The volume of water added to the Earth each year by METEORIC ICE is substantial and significant.
It is difficult to locate this Rock Solid research by SEARCH ENGINE these days. The DATA conflicts with the paranoia, fear, panic and political agenda of the present Dominant Paradigm.

The surface area of the earth is 5.1^8 km2 so assuming rock has a density of 2 gm/cm3
5.1^8 km2 = 5.1^18 cm2 so there is 10^12 gm/year / 5.1^18 cm2 = 1.96^-6 gm/cm2/year of meteoric material added to the earth each year.
1.96^-6 gm/cm2/year / 2 gm/cm3 = 1.0^-6 cm/year.
So meteors will add 1 inch to the surface of the earth every 2.54 million years.
And once again the combination of google, basic math and 5 minutes is more than sufficient to show the Bill's scientific hypotheses are total crap.

The Hubble Telescope was directed at the Earth's atmosphere. A localized light variation was detected upon meteoric impact with the upper atmosphere, which varied according to the physical properties of the subject meteor. The presence and volume of WATER in the meteoric 'shower' was calculated.
Once again, Diemos demonstrates a remarkable lack of intellect, gross ignorance and poor comprehension of the subject matter at hand. The larger topic is Scientific Integrity. However viewed from ABOVE, from the orbiting telescope, the predominant meteor IMPACT with Earth's upper atmosphere is small and mostly ICE.

There is no mystery and no controversy about this point. It is established science.
3. There are a variety of feedback loops that make this simple view far less simple. Changing snow cover changes the amount of sunlight that is absorbed. Changing water vapor in the atmosphere has a larger effect than CO2. Changing cloud cover changes the amount of light reflected into space. Etc, etc, etc. Getting all of these effects accounted for correctly and properly modeled is hard. Very hard. A lot of very good scientists have spent their lives trying to get this right and are still working on it.
Personally I think the point is moot. Energy is wealth. Choosing to leave carbon in the ground unburned is choosing to be poor, therefore everything that can be dug up and burned will be dug up and burned.
So you might as well go buy yourself a notebook and a white lab coat so that, from time to time, you can put on your white lab coat, walk out the front door, look around and exclaim, "A-ha! Fascinating! So THIS is what happens when you double (triple) (quadrupole) the amount of CO2 in the atmosphere". Since you're already a part of this experiment whether you like it or not you might as well enjoy the full experience.
We don't need any models. We're already committed to performing the experiment that will tell us exactly what happens when you dig up and burn all the fossil carbon on earth. All we need to do now is wait and watch.

For years, the Elites of the West have cranked up the myth of Man Made Global Warming as a means first and foremost to control the lives and behaviors of their populations. Knowing full well that their produce in China and sell in the West model and its consiquent spiral downward in wages and thus standards of living, was unsustainable, the elites moved to use this new "science" to guilt trip and scare monger their populations into smaller and more conservatives forms of living. In other words, they coasted them into the poverty that the greed and treason of those said same elites was already creating in their native lands.
What better way to staunch protests at worsening economic and life conditions than to make it feel like an honourable job/duty of the people to save "Gia". At the same time, they used this "science" as a new pagan religion to further push out the Christianity they hate and despise and most of all, fear? Gia worship, the earth "mother", has been pushed in popular culture oozing out of the West for a better part of the past 1.5 decades. This is a religion replete with an army of priests, called Government Grant Scientists.
