Rainwater update (7/18) -- sample from 6/28
7/18 (6:00pm): The rain we collected during the rainstorm on 6/28 has been analyzed and added to our rainwater page. This is our sixth consecutive rain sample with all non-detections, and we have set our lowest detection limits yet. These limits are about 200 times below our peak detections in March. thank you!
Thank you so much for the measurements. I second the requests for food sampling and testing. Sorry for the pressure--it is really the EPA's or FDA's job, but...
Thanks - Still wish you'd test Tomatoes,Lettuce (head) & peppers
But this is good news.
IF the deposits in soil and ground are finding their way into our foods such as these (also grapes, berries, etc) then without tests we cannot be sure that exposures are diminishing.
PLEASE consider a test of salad foods and fruit!
My guess is that food with shallow roots and exposure to leaves as spinach and strawberries may diminish as the radiocesium is wshed into deeper soil --- BUT the plants with deeper roots will pick it up.
Isn't that worth a few tests???
alomng with more soil tests and ground level air tests???
Without these I still feel you are not giving us what we really need to feel certain we are not getting continuing contamination.
Surely you can do this for us - your loyal fans!
Mark- Thank you for the rain
Mark-
Thank you for the rain and milk updates.

Thank you! With the jet
Thank you!
With the jet stream moving north, I doubt you will find anything at least until the fall in the air or rain ("new" stuff). Food and soil tests would be greatly appreciated, to see how the "old" stuff is situating itself. It must have gone somewhere, only the iodine should be gone.)
