Radioactive Tea

Thank you. Interesting to see

Thank you. Interesting to see the rapid decline in levels as well as the predicted continued decline. Makes it clear that the original surface deposition leads to the highest levels of Cs.

I love iced tea, but have given up on drinking it post-FK, as it is hard knowing where that stuff might be going. I can just imagine a tea producer who has 100 kilos of ultra-prime but now contaminated tea...it tests too hot for domestic consumption....and gets sold to a distributor in China and ends up in your iced tea from Taco Bell.

Am I paranoid? Probably. And could I drink enough of it to hurt me? Probably not. But still, not drinking tea.

Beware of tea from discount stores

I recently saw loads of Japanese Tea with manufacturing dating to last spring, for sale really cheap at a discount grocery. Call this a heads up, as there could be tea reaching the market that has slipped through without testing, possibly from other countries, with origins in Japan. The lag between manufacture, shipping and purchase is another reason to continue food testing.

The U.S. made an agreement

The U.S. made an agreement with Japan to buy their products - without testing. That means Japanese grown food can make it's way into our food supplies without our knowing.
