Radiation readings on Planes

Hi,

I've been traveling to Italy from Montreal and back now for a few months. I read a report from http://www.enviroreporter.com/2012/01/seasons-readings/

that shows a 10-minute average of 1,740 CPM which was over 800% of what the manufacturer of the Inspector Alert nuclear radiation monitor said they should be detecting. Am I actually putting myself in SERIOUS danger flying over the Atlantic?

Thanks for all your help.

Not really. People will

Not really. People will claim that any bit of radiation, no matter how small will increase your risk of cancer. That has no scientific basis. Even if you assumed that, unless you are flying everyday, the extra amount of dose will be negligible.
