My commets submit successfully but then do not appear

I have tried posting a comment several times. I complete the captcha and hit "save" and it reloads the thread. My comment is not there.

I deleted all cookies and reloaded. I checked the forum index to see whether that showed that my comment bumped the thread up to the top.

Nothing. It's like I never posted. I am now trying with a new thread, since I've had success with that in the past. BRAWM, please let me know why I cannot post any replies.

Every post that is submitted

Every post that is submitted first goes before the BRAWN FORUMS screening committee. The committee is made up of several foreign students studying first year English. They read the posts to fulfill the work requirements for their tuition programs. It usually takes from 10 to 30 minutes for each student to interpret the wording of each post before he/she submits it to Ms LaBarsa who runs the work program. She then publishes the post.
Its a slow process but we hope you will understand.

Post Time

The most common, COMMENT Post Time delay is about 15 minutes.

NEW THREAD Post Time Delay is usually more like 30 minutes.

About 10% of the time COMMENTS will post immediately.

About 5% of the time, often on a Sunday, or in the wee hours of the morning, a several hour Post delay may occur.

Even more rarely, some random Post may get lost; usually if someone else posts at about the same time.

If it runs longer, there may be some blockage due to SPAM detect issues. Advertizing Spam or anything that looks like it, to a computer program, may get treated as SPAM. Legitimate, product discussions about water and filtration products (by brand name and price) sometimes fell into this trap last year. If your anacronyms resemble porn, and many do, then again, it is just a cheesey spam guard glitch.

Contact Mark Bandstra at BRAWM, by Email and he can get it resolved, usually within a day or two. I have not had this occur in nearly a year, but it can happen.

Here again I face a problem:

Here again I face a problem: I get the message in yellow that the forum topic has been successfully created. Yet I do not see my new thread in the thread menu.

Are my posts successfully going through but I am not able to see them? I have even deleted my cookies, why am I not able to see the updated forum and threads?

This is comment #3 to this

This is comment #3 to this thread. I can only see the original thread and comment #1. I successfully submitted comment #2... I think.... about deleting my cache, but it did not appear. Very random and weird.

Hello (hello hello)....is there anybody there?

In this case I can see my own

In this case I can see my own reply in this window on my own thread - but not replies to other threads. If I look at the forum menu in another tab, this thread does not exist. If I close this tab, I have no way back to this thread.

I wanted to mention that I also deleted my cache and refreshed, to no avail.

I explained in detail what is

I explained in detail what is happening and what you must do in my previous reply to your question an hour ago. Why don't you read it and follow it?
Again, if you are having trouble viewing forums posts you have to just

Very droll :P I can see all

Very droll :P

I can see all my comments and my thread in the forum index now, the next day, so I guess they do go through but I get a day's delay before I can see them. If there's no solution to this I guess I'll just keep posting in the dark. At least other people can see them, and I suppose that's kind of the main point of commenting anyway.

Yea u comment then nothing.

Yea u comment then nothing. then it appears later.they must be screening the comments. wait thats censorship uc berkely wouldn't stand for that.

Is this problem still

Is this problem still occurring for people?  We only screen for obscenities, not other content.

Sorry, I was away from the

Sorry, I was away from the site and didn't see your reply until it was bumped by the spam post below me. Yes, it is still happening, but I have learned to live with it, as I can always find my posts the next day. I know it's not an intentional censoring but rather some kind of bug, and I guess it isn't happening to too many of us, so maybe it's something about my computer's settings (this is the only forum I've had this problem with, but it is a bit of a different layout than most forums, too.) In any case, thanks for trying. I can still communicate - and that's the main thing, so I'll live with it the way it is.
