What makes Stone a racist ?
I read someone call the oriental medicine doctor "a doctor of oriental noodles:" in a blog here, I think that was a racist remark. Oriental medicine is older than the history of the US, and uses techniques to examine the whole body to find the cause of the problem and to fix it, a noble practice, imho. Not to be discounted.

OK, I am a moderately intelligent adult, oriented in all spheres, a PhD candidate and I live in Japan, and I lived through the Tohoku quake and I continue to live through a nightmarish situation that goes mostly unreported in your impeccable media.
I ask myself 'why' a human disaster of almost unfathomable proportions, a disaster which has implications for every human citizen, has been supplanted in your popular consciousness (cough) by sundry perve news, Weinergate, Strauss-Kahn, and who was that chick who killed her toddler and got away with it?
Now if Joe Bob Stone had been ranting about the incompetence/corruption of Japanese engineers/power plant owners/government officials, you would all be fist-bumping with him and talking about how those stupid gooks, the ones who did Pearl Harbor, got what they deserved. RIGHT??? The Japanese do not have a JDL, and they do not stuff money into your congressmen's pockets. Nor do they F&cK with your banking system. In fact, every Japanese banker I know was keenly aware of the conditions, warning about the conditions that led to your so-called 'Perfect Storm' of perfidy...storm, weather analogies are really good, makes it sound like 'Act of God'...since 2006.
What I can tell you, as a person on the ground, HERE, is that he is right about certain points. One of these is that the magnitude attributed to certain quakes cannot be correct. A magnitude 9.0 quake at shallow depth, and close to shore would have done massive structural damage to the towns/cities in proximity and this includes Tokyo. Take a look at Mr. Stone's Kobe pictures to get a sense of what a 7.ish quake can do. And, no, Japanese structures are not build that well, with the exception of the Tokyo high-rise structures. Yes, it was a big one, but it was also a weird one (and I have lived through hundreds, here, and lived through Loma Prieta, too). So, we have little structural damage, a tsunami to end all tsunamis...and we have endless aftershocks...1,200 to date...which aligns with the idea of the big quake...but, in a way, not...I mean the ground is liquid...people have been ill...vertigo issues...so much worse than Kobe...post-Kobe, but again, little structural damage.
We have been told, here, by the Japanese government, and the U.S. government so many stories our heads are spinning. What I have sorted out is that hydrogen explosions should not have caused such massive destruction to that facility. We had an emissary from the NRC come here and lecture/reassure us on a range of scenarios that could take place, and how/why none of these could result in anything like a Chernobyl. This was on 3/17...the time when most people who could get out of this country were doing so. We later hear that what could not happen, already happened, but, hey, not to worry. The U.S. has 86,000 troops in Japan. There are 30,000 civilian residents. Our Embassy is claiming to protect us. Why can we not GET a coherent story about the status of that facility? Why is it off the news cycle in the U.S.?
That, this is enough to cause me to pause.
Mr. Stone is also right in his assertions that Japan had offered to assist Iran in the development of its nuclear program. This is well-documented in the Japanese media, the Iranian media. (Motive)
Mr. Stone is right in reporting that an Israeli contractor was providing 'security' services to the Fukushima facility. This is documented in the Israeli press. (Means)...
So, I a sentient adult have no difficulty 'going there'...engaging in this sort of critical thinking.
Do I think that the U.S./Israel partnered in the creation of a computer virus designed to interfere with the development of Iran's nuclear program. Sure, I do...this is well-documented in the U.S. media. (Interestingly, it has been reported in Japan that Fukushima technicians left the plant for a period of four days after the event, thinking that it was shut down...this is what their instrumentation indicated, rumor, fact...who knows?)
Do I think there are earthquake machines? Well, Mr. Stone is again right in his observation that a Secty of Defense, Cohen, warned that such technology was feasible. And, there is a bellicose Russian politician, highly placed, who regularly assures the Japanese that his country can take them all out with an earthquake machine.
It does sound like Sci-Fi...but the last four months have been nothing other than sci-fi, here.

It is quite evident at a glance that there was an explosion in the reactor 4 building. The place is as hammered as buildings 1, 2 & 3.
TEPCO and their henchmen in this ecological and public health crime wave, can't seem to tell the truth about anything. There is a liars-tie for GE, Hitachi, TEPCO, Japan, the USA and the rest of these crooked incompetents.
So for Reactor-4, their present story is that the reactor was 'stone-cold-dead' and that the Spent Fuel Pool ... is cool. This story does not match their previous disclosures. They also ran with a yarn about the venting from Reactor-3 blew up Reactor-4 as though the two reactors shared a common exhaust tail-pipe.
It is, I suppose, inevitable, that some yard-ape will concoct his own specious theories about the detonation. The allegations are not particularly stunning, but neither are they particularly credible.
So far, the Stoner theories are no more and no less plausible than the TEPCO flights of fantasy. I shall reserve the option to adjust this preliminary viewpoint as the evidence and testimony accumulates.

Pipe Is Pressure Rated
The pressure rating of the pipes and the structural strength of the supports; as well as the detonation sequence would influence tail-pipe integrity. The vent system was presumably (hopefully) built to withstand pressurized steam at some degree of superheat.
The piping evidently survived a tsunami, which speaks to the mechanical strengths of the materials.
The photo would indicate that the pipes survived the presumed hydrogen blast.
Typically, an 8 to 1 pressure safety factor is used when impulse conditions are anticipated (ASME); and a 4 to 1 safety factor is used for non-impulse conditions.
The GE Mark-1 reactor containment system, has no pressure rating and the dry wall building is a hydrostatic joke. The N2 purged, Mark-1 was designed to operate at NEGATIVE pressure (lower than atmospheric).
Thus the buildings CAN explode while the pipe survives.

Lithium calms people down and evens out mood swings. Lithium can interfere with certain virus replication.
In Ashland, Oregon, Lithia Park has natural lithium water that people take home to drink. It's also in the hot springs water there.
In small amounts, it can be quite beneficial to the body and mind. Litium Orotate is awesome for people with certain viruses, as well as for those who are bi-polar.
Downside: Too much is hard on the kidneys, makes ya feel unmotivated and can cause weight gain. Maybe not so good for the majority of Americans! In small amounts, definitely not toxic like fluoride. Fluoride should be banned, as it is in some other countries.

I am going to release a preliminary version of the report tomorrow before I go on the air, for people to look at for reference.
I interviewed an 85 year old nuclear engineer who worked for GE and designed the reactors at Fukushima. He had nothing new to contribute about the reactor design, ect (not that the public would understand) but after answering my questions he went on to tell me something very interesting.
You guys probably might find this hard to believe, but I am going to tell you exactly what he told me.
He said that the team he was on at GE succeeded in closing the "nuclear loop". I did not know what that was, and he went on to explain -
When fuel is consumed in a boiling water or other water cooled reactor it produces isotopes which poison the chain reaction and produce unfavorable conditions. Once the isotopes build up to a certain level - he said about 5 percent depletion of fuel, their presence becomes dominant and it interferes with proper reactor operation. So the fuel has to be pulled out.
GE was working on a technology to do away with this problem, and here is exactly how he described it. He said NOTHING about re-processing, NOTHING AT ALL. HE SAID IT JUST LIKE THIS:
You take the fuel out of the water cooled reactor and put it in a sodium cooled breeder reactor. Because the materials used in the breeder reactor favor the burning of the isotopes, (one of which was liquid sodium for cooling) and also because the reactor runs much hotter(1100 farenheit vs 550 in a BWR (I filled that in, I studied them well enough) ONLY the isotopes are burned off in the breeder reactor, and once their interfering characteristics are removed from the reaction, the fuel, at 5 percent depleted works perfect when put back into the boiling water reactor, with NO REPROCESSING NEEDED AT ALL. He said that this process could draw the fuel almost all the way down. He said it was good for 20 cycles. I don't know if 1 BWR cycle and 1 breeder cycle equals 2 cycles, it would make sense, but he was also adamant that you get a LOT of performance out of the breeder reactor, which can produce substantial power by vaporizing water in a heat exchanger during the isotope burn out. The impression he left indicated that the fuel was almost completely dead at the end of the process, though I don't know how you could get any performance out of it once it was used past 50 percent. I would expect reprocessing to be needed at that point, but that is not how he phrased it.
CARTER BANNED THIS TECHNOLOGY VIA EXECUTIVE ORDER ON HIS THIRD DAY IN OFFICE, and as a result, 25 tons per gigawatt per year have been building up in fuel pools across the country. GE never intended to have the fuel pools filled, they expected to have the technology fully perfected by the mid 70's and succeeded in this goal, only to have a political decision shut it all down.
He lamented the buidup of so much fuel at American nuclear facilities, mostly from an economic standpoint. I lamented the buildup because it is a FREAKING HAZARD. The fuel pools were NEVER designed to have so much fuel in them, GE's original intention was to have maybe TWO reactor core's worth of fuel in a pool, not 40. So the fuel pools are overloaded now, and if ANYTHING happens, a war, a collapse, ect, and the nuclear facilities are not maintained, these fuel pools will go ballistic and wreck the country.
SO
My main focus will be to try to convince people to do something about it - to overturn that executive order and allow the miracle GE created to be used to burn this fuel off, which would require America to run on ONLY nuclear power for at least 80 years. My fear is that the legislation was put in place to weaponize America's nuclear program to be used against us in the future. It's a little hard to argue with because:
1. This technology would have extended the life of the fuel by 20X according to this engineer, which would mean that after all these years AT MOST there would be two cores sitting in each fuel pool,
2. France offered to pay us billions for our "spent" fuel which is in fact very valuable, while our government instead opted to just let it build up and then pump the nuclear waste propaganda endlessly, to make people fear and hate nuclear power. Like Dr. Chivers, R. Cromack and at least one other person who has posted here, I am a former U.S. Navy 'bubblehead' (submariner) who served aboard nuclear boats. I'm no longer in the service but my civilian profession keeps me "in the loop" and I deal with Electric Boat on a weekly basis, as well as techreps from GE and other defense contractors. I've heard this sort of rumor before, and it is b.s.
I've also heard scuttlebutt about some sort of "nuclear inhibitor" technology that was supposedly developed by DoD and which is now being deliberately withheld by the Navy from TEPCO and he IAEA as part of some vaguely defined U.S. power play or blackmail or the like. OK, I am a moderately intelligent adult, oriented in all spheres, a PhD candidate and I live in Japan, and I lived through the Tohoku quake and I continue to live through a nightmarish situation that goes mostly unreported in your impeccable media.
I ask myself 'why' a human disaster of almost unfathomable proportions, a disaster which has implications for every human citizen, has been supplanted in your popular consciousness (cough) by sundry perve news, Weinergate, Strauss-Kahn, and who was that chick who killed her toddler and got away with it?
Now if Joe Bob Stone had been ranting about the incompetence/corruption of Japanese engineers/power plant owners/government officials, you would all be fist-bumping with him and talking about how those stupid gooks, the ones who did Pearl Harbor, got what they deserved. RIGHT??? The Japanese do not have a JDL, and they do not stuff money into your congressmen's pockets. Nor do they F&cK with your banking system. What I can tell you, as a person on the ground, HERE, is that he is right about certain points. One of these is that the magnitude attributed to certain quakes cannot be correct. A magnitude 9.0 quake at shallow depth, and close to shore would have done massive structural damage to the towns/cities in proximity and this includes Tokyo. Take a look at Mr. Stone's Kobe pictures to get a sense of what a 7.ish quake can do. And, no, Japanese structures are not build that well, with the exception of the Tokyo high-rise structures. Yes, it was a big one, but it was also a weird one (and I have lived through hundreds, here, and lived through Loma Prieta, too). So, we have little structural damage, a tsunami to end all tsunamis...and we have endless aftershocks...1,200 to date...which aligns with the idea of the big quake...but, in a way, not...I mean the ground is liquid...people have been ill...vertigo issues...so much worse than Kobe...post-Kobe, but again, little structural damage.
We have been told, here, by the Japanese government, and the U.S. government so many stories our heads are spinning. What I have sorted out is that hydrogen explosions should not have caused such massive destruction to that facility. We had an emissary from the NRC come here and lecture/reassure us on a range of scenarios that could take place, and how/why none of these could result in anything like a Chernobyl. This was on 3/17...the time when most people who could get out of this country were doing so. We later hear that what could not happen, already happened, but, hey, not to worry. The U.S. has 86,000 troops in Japan. There are 30,000 civilian residents. Our Embassy is claiming to protect us. Why can we not GET a coherent story about the status of that facility? Why is it off the news cycle in the U.S.?
That, this is enough to cause me to pause.

So for Reactor-4, their present story is that the reactor was 'stone-cold-dead' and that the Spent Fuel Pool ... is cool. This story does not match their previous disclosures. They also ran with a yarn about the venting from Reactor-3 blew up Reactor-4 as though the two reactors shared a common exhaust tail-pipe.
It is, I suppose, inevitable, that some yard-ape will concoct his own specious theories about the detonation. The allegations are not particularly stunning, but neither are they particularly credible.
So far, the Stoner theories are no more and no less plausible than the TEPCO flights of fantasy. I shall reserve the option to adjust this preliminary viewpoint as the evidence and testimony accumulates.

The photo would indicate that the pipes survived the presumed hydrogen blast.

The GE Mark-1 reactor containment system, has no pressure rating and the dry wall building is a hydrostatic joke. The N2 purged, Mark-1 was designed to operate at NEGATIVE pressure (lower than atmospheric).
Thus the buildings CAN explode while the pipe survives.

I interviewed an 85 year old nuclear engineer who worked for GE and designed the reactors at Fukushima. He had nothing new to contribute about the reactor design, ect (not that the public would understand) but after answering my questions he went on to tell me something very interesting.
You guys probably might find this hard to believe, but I am going to tell you exactly what he told me.
He said that the team he was on at GE succeeded in closing the "nuclear loop". I did not know what that was, and he went on to explain -
When fuel is consumed in a boiling water or other water cooled reactor it produces isotopes which poison the chain reaction and produce unfavorable conditions. Once the isotopes build up to a certain level - he said about 5 percent depletion of fuel, their presence becomes dominant and it interferes with proper reactor operation. So the fuel has to be pulled out.
GE was working on a technology to do away with this problem, and here is exactly how he described it. He said NOTHING about re-processing, NOTHING AT ALL. HE SAID IT JUST LIKE THIS:
You take the fuel out of the water cooled reactor and put it in a sodium cooled breeder reactor. Because the materials used in the breeder reactor favor the burning of the isotopes, (one of which was liquid sodium for cooling) and also because the reactor runs much hotter(1100 farenheit vs 550 in a BWR (I filled that in, I studied them well enough) ONLY the isotopes are burned off in the breeder reactor, and once their interfering characteristics are removed from the reaction, the fuel, at 5 percent depleted works perfect when put back into the boiling water reactor, with NO REPROCESSING NEEDED AT ALL. He said that this process could draw the fuel almost all the way down. He said it was good for 20 cycles. I don't know if 1 BWR cycle and 1 breeder cycle equals 2 cycles, it would make sense, but he was also adamant that you get a LOT of performance out of the breeder reactor, which can produce substantial power by vaporizing water in a heat exchanger during the isotope burn out. The impression he left indicated that the fuel was almost completely dead at the end of the process, though I don't know how you could get any performance out of it once it was used past 50 percent. I would expect reprocessing to be needed at that point, but that is not how he phrased it.
CARTER BANNED THIS TECHNOLOGY VIA EXECUTIVE ORDER ON HIS THIRD DAY IN OFFICE, and as a result, 25 tons per gigawatt per year have been building up in fuel pools across the country. GE never intended to have the fuel pools filled, they expected to have the technology fully perfected by the mid 70's and succeeded in this goal, only to have a political decision shut it all down.
He lamented the buidup of so much fuel at American nuclear facilities, mostly from an economic standpoint. I lamented the buildup because it is a FREAKING HAZARD. The fuel pools were NEVER designed to have so much fuel in them, GE's original intention was to have maybe TWO reactor core's worth of fuel in a pool, not 40. So the fuel pools are overloaded now, and if ANYTHING happens, a war, a collapse, ect, and the nuclear facilities are not maintained, these fuel pools will go ballistic and wreck the country.
SO
My main focus will be to try to convince people to do something about it - to overturn that executive order and allow the miracle GE created to be used to burn this fuel off, which would require America to run on ONLY nuclear power for at least 80 years. My fear is that the legislation was put in place to weaponize America's nuclear program to be used against us in the future. It's a little hard to argue with because:
1. This technology would have extended the life of the fuel by 20X according to this engineer, which would mean that after all these years AT MOST there would be two cores sitting in each fuel pool,
2. France offered to pay us billions for our "spent" fuel which is in fact very valuable, while our government instead opted to just let it build up and then pump the nuclear waste propaganda endlessly, to make people fear and hate nuclear power. There was never a need for this; with reprocessing and the "closed loop" cycle, there should not be ANY nuclear "waste" ANYWHERE. It's all a scam and hoax.
I will be back to see if this passes muster on this forum, if anyone has any comments, NOW IS THE TIME FOR THEM, I will discuss this on THRUSDAY.

Yes, Carter (a nuclear engineer) vetoed funding for it in 1977. There appear to have been good reasons for it, see the article. And for what it's worth, Congress put the nail in that coffin in 1983.

Like Dr. Chivers, R. Cromack and at least one other person who has posted here, I am a former U.S. Navy 'bubblehead' (submariner) who served aboard nuclear boats. I'm no longer in the service but my civilian profession keeps me "in the loop" and I deal with Electric Boat on a weekly basis, as well as techreps from GE and other defense contractors. I've heard this sort of rumor before, and it is b.s.
I've also heard scuttlebutt about some sort of "nuclear inhibitor" technology that was supposedly developed by DoD and which is now being deliberately withheld by the Navy from TEPCO and he IAEA as part of some vaguely defined U.S. power play or blackmail or the like. This is also bulls---. This sort of cockamamie nonsense always seems to follow disaster, always has, ever since JFK was shot in Dallas I've been listening to some damn fool or other spout off about the Mafia or the CIA or little green men. Hard times bring the nuts falling right out of the trees.
