I'm not "back". (Sorry, BC, tdm, etc. -- too much b.s.) Consider this a public service:

Best to all & Happy New Year, hopefully better than the old year. Glad to see BRAWM's back to testing.

Hmmm ... which state has the most nuclear reactors?

Well look at that ... it's Illinois.

Now which state is situated directly downwind (east) of all those aging nuclear hell-holes in IL?

Well look at that ... it's Indiana.

Wonder if any of those Indiana doctors mentioned in the article have noticed the 800-pound gorilla in the room... ?

By the way, anybody notice the high rates of thyroid cancer in southeastern PA?

An area also surrounded by numerous aging nuclear hell-holes...

Rick- Thanks for the good

Rick-

Thanks for the good wishes. I do hope this year is better. I have never been in more doubt of the future than in 2011. It nearly destroyed me psychologically, and that is no exaggeration.

Several years of increases in thyroid cancer is bad, but pre-'11 can't be blamed on Fuku or any other known release. More likely IMHO is the hormone mimicking plastic junk all around us. I personally do not see any connection here.

Don't blame you for leaving. There is the "NOTHING IS WRONG AT ALL" camp, and then there are the Busby/Caldicott folks, both sides of which are very entrenched in their opinions. Myself, I feel like the answer is somewhere in the middle. This is bad, but nowhere near as bad as it could be. Of course, your town/state/country could be the next Fukushima....and I feel deeply that this is what we must address. It is not if - it is when, esp. the old junk reactors.

10 reasons the U.S. is no longer the land of the free

Washington Post By Jonathan Turley, Published: January 13

In the decade since Sept. 11, 2001, this country has comprehensively reduced civil liberties in the name of an expanded security state. The most recent example of this was the National Defense Authorization Act, signed Dec. 31.

Nations such as the USA, Nigeria, Iran, Nazi Germany, USSR and Syria conduct: Extrajudicial killings of enemies of the state, prolonged detention, Arbitrary justice, Warrantless searches, Secret evidence, War crimes, Secret court, Immunity from judicial review, Continual monitoring of citizens and Extraordinary renditions.

We can thank George W. Bush, Barack H. Obama, Congress and Federal Judges for adding the USA to that Axis of Evil . It is my HIGHEST personal aspiration to bring these despots to justice.
