Wardenclyffe and Tunguska
Outline
Teslaís Dream
- ìWe are confronted with portentous problems which can not be solved just by providing for our material existence, however abundantly. On the contrary, progress in this direction is fraught with hazards and perils not less menacing than those born from wan

Teslaís Dream
- Tesla hoped to distribute wireless energy throughout the world.
- He would also provide communication, including secure lines.
- There would also be the equivalent of modern radio and television.
Colorado Springs
- Where Tesla did his early studies of wireless transmission, and where he created a tower similar to the one planned for Wardenclyffe
Pictures for Colorado Springs
Wardenclyffe
- The start of Teslaís dream of wireless communication and energy propagation
- J. Piermont Morgan was initially a large contributor: $150,000
- Building designed by Stanford White
- Construction began in 1901
Wardenclyffe
- Nikola Tesla ran out of money and eventually turned the deed over to the Waldorf-Astoria Hotel
- Dynamited in 1917 for scrap metal by Waldorf-Astoria Hotel proprietor
Wardenclyffe
- Located in Shoreham, New York on Long Island
Wardenclyffe
Tunguska
- Explosion with took place in Central Siberia on June 30th, 1908
- Some scientist say ranged explosion was equal to 30-50 megatons of TNT
- Officially caused by a Near-Earth Orbit (NEO) object (e.g. a comet or meteorite)
- Neither astroblemes (e.g. craters) nor fragments of object found
Tunguska
- Believe by some to be caused by Teslaís Wardenclyffe Tower
- Tesla claimed that his tower could be used for destructive capabilities, such as guided missiles/torpedoes, resonating a ship to explosion
- Tesla believed he could slit the world with the proper resonance
Tunguska
- On conspiracy report claimed, aiming for location in Canada, but overshot. Off by about 2 degrees on a straight line.
