"Passive and Active Detection of Radiological and Nuclear Threats"

Presented By

(previously Ancore Corp.)

The use of nuclear devices by terrorist is considered to be the most catastrophic threat (though of low probability) to our homeland security. The dispersion of radioactive materials such as Cs-137, Co-60 and other radioactive isotopes by terrorist is considered as a serious threat with higher probability of occurrence. The detection of these threats through passive means and through active interrogation, typically by neutrons, is complementary. Principles and applications of techniques and systems to detect the threats will be discussed.
