Importance of understanding:  (1)  culture shock, (2) the IAEA organization environment:  the multi lingual environment, the cultural differences, and the politics, (3) new requirements at the IAEA for the inspectors and modifications to the basic inspector training, (4) the skill gap and the implication of the gap, (5) the opportunity to provide practical training and a systematic approach, and (6) interpersonal skill development work that I was tasked to perform.
