Getting to the Conference

Below you will find directions on how to get yourself from either the San Francisco (SFO) or Oakland (OAK) Airport to Berkeley. If you would like to be picked up or escorted from the airport, please contact Mike King at hoodyhoo@uclink.berkeley.edu. Include the following: Arrival day and time, airport you are flying into, airline and flight number, and number of people in your party. We'll work with you to figure out the best travel solution.

Getting to California:
  • The Oakland Airport provides the most convenient access to Berkeley. Oakland is served by many carriers, notably Southwest Airlines (1-800-435-9792) which has inexpensive flights from cities throughout the American West to Oakland.

  • San Francisco Airport is served by more carriers. San Francisco airport is about 25 miles from the Berkeley campus; travel time can range from 45 minutes to 1 1/2 hours, depending on traffic conditions.
