Support Student Travel
Given that Berkeley is somewhat isolated from the majority of universities with nuclear engineering
programs, supporting student travel to the conference will be critical to ensure the success of the
conference. Ideally, funds would be secured and allocated well in advance so that students can make
travel arrangements. Travel support would be used to make travel more affordable, but students
would still cover a portion of their airfare. Our goal for the travel fund is $60,000 (300
students at $200 per student). Should we fall short of our goal, students with financial need and
students coming the longest distance will have priority.
