- Buying or building your own Geiger counter - GeigerCounters.com, ScienceKit.com
- NRC Exempt Alpha, Beta, & Gamma Source Sets can be found that do not require a license to have and are safe for classroom activities. Usually under $200, you can purchase sources that will demonstrate the properties of alpha, beta, & gamma radiation.
