Abstract

The job market for PhD’s in engineering can sometimes be as complex and daunting as some of the research topics studied by the recent graduates. Engineering consulting, failure analysis and forensic engineering in particular, is a non-traditional, interesting and challenging field; but one often overlooked by the young researcher and job seeker. Dr. Barrera will share his experience as an engineer at Exponent and showcase some of the Company’s capabilities through actual case studies. PhD candidates from all engineering disciplines who are graduating in 2008 are highly encouraged to attend (bring a copy of your resume).
